Rooted in the values of community, compassion, and care, the brother-sister duo, Dr. Craig Peterson and Dr. Melinda Hochgesang, have built more than just a Dental Practice. They have created a place where patients feel like family. Raised in the tight-knit town of Milan, IL, both Doctors knew early on they wanted to serve communities much like the one they grew up in.
Dr. Mindy initially opened a successful Dental Practice in Davenport, IA, while also working alongside Dr. Simpson in Morrison, IL. When Dr. Simpson sadly passed away, Dr. Mindy was offered the opportunity to continue the Morrison practice. Realizing she would now be leading two offices, she invited her brother, Dr. Craig, to join her as a partner. They have proudly operated their Morrison location for the past ten years.
This practice goes far beyond cleanings and checkups; they are committed to giving back. Dr. Mindy frequently visits Morrison schools to educate students about oral health. Their team regularly participates in beloved local events like the Christmas Wlkk parade, Harvest Hammer, and Paint the Town. They cherish their connection with Resthave Care & Rehabilitation and Seniors in the area. The Practice is known for quietly stepping up, to support patients-in-need during difficult times.
Their outreach does not stop at City limits. The team has been involved in dental mission work across the Midwest and, most-recently in 2024, the entire staff traveled to Turks and Caicos to provide care to under-served communities.
One of the most unique features of the office is Yogi, their beloved service animal and unofficial office “pet.” Yogi offers calm comfort to patients who experience dental anxiety or simply appreciate a furry friend during their visit.
The team prides itself on creating a welcoming, compassionate environment. Every staff member is hand-selected not just for their skills, but for their kindness, empathy, and genuine commitment to patient care.
