Betty J. Wollesen, 90, of Lyndon, IL, died Monday, July 7, 2025, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison, IL.
Betty was born February 12, 1935, in Lyndon, to George and Nellie (Port) Taylor. She was educated in the Lyndon grade schools and graduated from Lyndon High School. She married Eugene H. Wollesen on September 12, 1954, in Lyndon. Betty and her family owned and operated Crow Valley Campground in Sterling, IL, until 1995. Betty was a member of the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. She was also an avid Cubs fan and always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy, and son, Bryan, both of Lyndon; one grandchild; one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; nine siblings.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL.
A Memorial service will follow at 11:00a.m., with Rev. Tammy Anderson officiating.
Private Family Burial will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery, in Morrison, IL.
Arrangements were completed by the McDonald Funeral Home and Crematory in Rock Falls, IL.
