Morrison, IL, Police Chief Mike Moon submitted this arrest report on Sunday, July 6, 2025.
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 10:47 a.m., Morrison Police responded to a report of a bank robbery at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, in Morrison. The individual produced a note and demanded money. The Teller gave him money, and the suspect was able to escape before Officers arrived. No one was injured in the incident. After investigating the robbery, Morrison Police arrested Ryan D. Hicks, age 37, from Sterling, IL. Hicks was arrested for Aggravated Robbery, Class 1 felony, and Burglary, Class 2 Felony. Hicks was taken to the Whiteside County Jail. Hicks may have additional charges pending.
The Morrison Police Department was assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services, and Sterling Police Department.
The public is reminded that these are merely charges, and the above named are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
