Mary Okrasinski, 84, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, June 23, 2025, at Rock River Hospice and Home in Sterling, IL.

Mary was born December 19, 1940, in Chicago, IL, to Dominick and Pauline (Graniero) Padovano.  She was educated in the Chicago area and later attended Cosmetology school.  She married Jim Okrasinski in 1993 in Rockford, IL.  They shared five years together before his passing in 1998.  Mary was a hardworking and dedicated woman.  She owned and operated the Albany Landing in Albany, IL, and later worked at Hy-Vee in Clinton, IA.  She was a longtime member of Emmanuel Church in Morrison, where she found great joy in her church family and the fellowship they shared.  Mary loved to cook, enjoyed visiting with others, and had a warm, welcoming spirit.  Her greatest joy in life came from time spent with her family and friends—especially her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Anna (Jeff) Ryder of Morrison and Kathy (John) Purcell of South Elgin, IL; son, Vito (Niccole) Maurici of Austin, TX; seven grandchildren, Michael (Lauren) Purcell, Marykate (Casey) Purcell, Mackenzie Ryder, Arianna Maurici, Pasquale Maurici, Nico Maurici, and Marcello Maurici; three great-grandchildren, Emma, Nora, and Molly Purcell; sisters, Billia (Sal) LaMantia of New Jersey, Patricia (Fred) Kutchins of Arlington Heights, IL, and Katherine (Rich) Roth of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim.

A Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Emmanuel Church in Morrison, IL, followed by a Funeral service at 3:00, with Rev. Luke Schouten, Pastor of Emmanuel Church, officiating.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established to Emmanuel Young Adults.
