On Saturday, June 14, 2025, at approximately 8:02 p.m., the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a four wheeler crash, at the intersection of Agnew Road and Mathew Road. The investigation revealed Danille L. Haeffner, 39, of Sterling, IL, was traveling southbound on Agnew Road and attempted to turn westbound onto Mathew Road. She lost control, left the roadway, crashed through a barbed wire fence, and rolled the four wheeler an unknown number of times.
Danille was charged with Improper Operation of an ATV, Improper Lane Usage, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. She was transported to CGH Medical Center and then to a Trauma Unit for treatment of her injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by CGH Ambulance and Sterling Fire Department.
