Lillian S. Hall, 79, of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at The Alverno in Clinton, IA.
Lillian was born on January 29, 1946, in Clinton, to Bert and Tena (Boonstra) Van Houten. She attended Fulton Christian Grade School and graduated as Valedictorian of Fulton High School in 1964. She completed her training at Moline Public Hospital School of Radiology in 1966, becoming a Certified Radiologic Technologist. On September 23, 1966, she married Robert Smith in Fulton. They later divorced. She married Don Hall on September 2, 1988, in Clinton. Lillian had a long and respected career as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographer at MercyOne in Clinton. She also served as a Clinical Instructor for the Scott Community College Radiologic Technology Program. Lillian enjoyed reading and playing the piano, often sharing her musical talents in church.
Survivors include her husband, Don Hall of Fulton, IL; one daughter, Stephanie (Nicholas) Proud of North Liberty, IA; two sons, Mark Smith of Morrison, IL and Russell (Aom) Smith of Poway, CA; one stepdaughter, Dawn Vasquez of Verona, WI; seven grandchildren, Ainsley, Kellan, Michael, Andrea, Carla, Brooke and Tony; two great-grandchildren, Bexley and Bristol.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ethel J. Miller and Beatrice Wiersema; one stepson, Dennis Hall.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, followed by a 2:00 PM funeral service officiated by Mr. Ken Renkes. Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery. A memorial has been established to benefit breast cancer research.
