Catherine “Cathy” Ann Anderson, 70, of Sterling, IL, died on Friday, June 13, 2025, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Cathy was born September 1, 1954, in Bakersfield, CA, the daughter of Ronald and Alberta (May) Anderson. She spent her early years as a School Bus Driver. Later, she found her calling at CGH Medical Center, where she worked for many years as a Medical Assistant. Cathy had a feisty spirit, a stubborn streak you couldn’t argue with, and a quick wit that kept everyone on their toes.
Survivors include her son, Ron (Jenn) Schultz, of Sterling; two grandchildren, Jordan (Jordan) Schultz, of Morrison, IL, and Riley Schultz, of Norfolk, VA; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Brynnlee Schultz, of Morrison; brother-in-law, Walt Hamilton, of Nelson, IL; nieces and nephews, Amber (James) Walker, of Tampico, IL, Ashley (Nick) Nielsen, of Nelson, Kelly (Ryan) Duckert, of Jefferson, WI, and Krista (Seth) Heim, of Troy, MO.
Cathy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Chris Hamilton.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
