Two “next door” Illinois Cities have free Municipal Bands that play weekly, during summer evenings.
Sterling Municipal Band performs today, Wednesday, June 11, 2025, with a 6:15 p.m. pre-concert in Grandon Civic Center. The bandshell is located downtown, across from the Post Office. Concessions will be offered by Boy Scout Troop 305.
Dixon Municipal Band will perform on Thursday, June 12, at 7:30 p.m., in the Page Park Band Shelter. Door prizes will be awarded. There will be marches. Other selections are from Fantasia, Beach Boys Forever, Kentucky 1800, Relax!, and The Battle Hymn Of The Republic.
