Helen Wagenecht, 97, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, June 2, 2025, at her home.

Helen was born April 30, 1928, in Lyndon, IL, to Earl F. and Ethel M. (Widle) Hiddleson.  She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and graduated from Morrison High School with the Class of 1946.  On December 26, 1947, she married Robert A. Wagenecht in Morrison.  Together, they shared over 65 years of marriage, until his passing on July 3, 2013.  For 33 years, Helen worked at Carpenter’s Bakery in Morrison.  She was a longtime member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran LC-MS Church in Morrison, where she attended Bible study and assisted with the church’s newsletter.  Helen found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Bob (Glenna) Wagenecht of Fort Collins, CO, Bill (Debra) Wagenecht of Muskego, WI, and Allen (Donna) Wagenecht of Morrison; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; daughter-in-law, Leslie Wagenecht; sister, Dorothy G. Siefken; brothers, George, William, and Earl Hiddleson.

There will be no Visitation or Funeral service.

A private Graveside Service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
