Barbara Fay Walls, 86, of Sterling, IL, died on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Rock River Hospice & Home, surrounded by family.

Barbara was born September 12, 1938, in DePue, IL, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Hall) Moore. Barbara was very generous and kind and would help anyone in need. Her passions were celebrating with her family and bringing joy to everyone she met. Barb was an avid animal lover and a devoted Catholic. She loved playing Nintendo and watching Syfy with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, James (Jan) Moore, of Morrison, IL, and Thomas Greer, of Deer Grove, IL; nine grandchildren, Christine (Joshua) Mills, of Sacile, Italy, Kaylee (Stephen) Mackie, of Phoenix, AZ, Kara Moore, of Ashland, OR, Jessica (Grace) Rudolph, of Kewanee, IL, Amanda Greer, of Shawnee, KS, Thomas (Samantha) Greer, Jr, of Rock Falls, IL, Amber Greer, of Stillman Valley, IL, Zachary Greer, of Sterling, and Barbara Greer, of Rock Falls; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Fred Enyart; husband, Johnny Walls; sisters, Sara Ross, and Alice Trillet; brothers, Joe Moore, Harold Moore, Fred Moore, and Robert Moore; two nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, IL.
Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sterling, with Reverend Richard Kramer officiating.
Burial will conclude at St. Mary Cemetery, in DePue, IL.
