Morrison Lions Club extends sincere thanks for the support from the community in our fundraisers during the year 2024. The proceeds from our annual Rose Day sale, the contributions received during Candy Day, and our annual Holiday Ham sale provide funds that enable our Club to offer assistance for vision and hearing services to Morrison area residents, who otherwise might not be able to secure eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Two $1000 scholarships are awarded to Morrison High School graduates. Contributions are also made to Lions International and Lions of Illinois Foundation, enabling the two entities to extend aid in a much larger way. The club also makes contributions to various local civic needs as the situation arises.
Morrison Lions Club provides an annual Recycle Day as a service project. This year the Recycle Day will be on Saturday, April 26, 2025. The event is held close to Earth Day, April 22 each year. Earth Day will be held at the Whiteside County Fairgrounds from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Details will be provided closer to the event. Donations are received at this event and are distributed back to non-profit and High School groups that assist with this service project.
