The Morrison, IL, Rotary Harvest Hammer 5K & Duathlon, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, was open to race fans spanning eight decades of age groups.  Race information is available on this website https://onlineraceresults.com/race/view_race.php?race_id=78334#racetop.

Events commenced and concluded at 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison High School.  Starting at 8:15 a.m., three races were designed for kids in grades 2-and-Under through 8th grade:  Wee Run, Fun Run, and 1 Mile Challenge Run.

The 5K Walk/Run and Duathlon included a new age category “80+” for Walkers/Runners. The bike course is a two-lap course with rolling hills.

In each age category, Don Jevne, left, placed ribbons around the necks of the first three winners.

At right below, Jackie Jevne pulled awards while Kevin Schisler called winners’ names and standings.

Women aged through 79 years are shown.  Men in the same age category are below.

Following the awards presentation was an optional Color Run for all ages.  Individuals who processed from the High School to Main Street, were doused with colorful powders or ran through rainbow dust.
