Local Amish school children have a new school building in the Spring Valley, IL, area. To raise funds for supplies, a unique benefit, “Haystack Dinner and Bake Sale,” will be held Friday, September 13, 2024, from 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Carry-out food is available.
“Proceeds will benefit our Parochial School.” 
The location is the Yoder Residence, 9108 W. Lincoln Road (Routh 30), rural Fulton, IL.
A “Haystack” includes layers of edible goodness. Women will be in charge of topping your haystack with whatever prepared ingredients you choose–as you move down the serving line.
Options include crumbled Ritz Crackers; finely cooked potatoes; fried hamburger; shredded lettuce; chopped tomatoes; chopped onions.
Top off your Haystack with creamy, warm, cheddar cheese sauce; crushed Doritos; grilled chicken.
