Mary Jane Fiet, 88, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, August 12, 2024, at Homestead  Assisted Living & Memory Care, Morrison.

Mary Jane was born November 16, 1935, in Morrison, to Henry C. and Grace A. (Bonneur) Ottens.  She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a 1953 graduate of Morrison High School.  On December 30, 1953, she married Fred L. Fiet in Morrison, and they shared their lives together for over 62 years, until Fred’s passing on March 4, 2016.  Mary Jane began her career at the Clinton County Courthouse and later became Bookkeeper for Fred’s and her various business ventures, including Fulton Meat Market.  Additionally, she served as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Collector Arms Dealers Association for many years.  Mary Jane was a devoted member of Thomson United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Bob) Eagle of Fulton, IL, and Karen (Jim) Marshall of Clinton, IA; four grandchildren, Zach Eagle, Ben Eagle, Amber Eagle, and Anna Marshall; five great-grandchildren, Aiden and Liam Eagle, Lily Eagle, Sean and Cole Keyte; sisters, Viola Koster and Irma (Robert) Brands, both of Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred.

Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Ken Renkes officiating.

A Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral.

Interment will be at Fulton Township Cemetery, Fulton, IL.

A memorial has been established.
