Craig C. Simester, 58 of Rock Falls, IL, died Tuesday, July 16, 2024.

He was born on December 27, 1965, in Sterling, IL, the son of Paul and Sandra (Chronister) Simester and was a graduate of Rock Falls High School.  Craig married the former Sherri Hagen on September 18, 1990.

Craig was an amazing man!  Everyone who knew him would say the same.  He would drop everything he was doing to help you out if needed.  He was a great role model for all our kids.  His grandchildren were the apple of his eyes, and they felt every bit of the love he had for them.  Being a trucker was his passion.  Make no mistake, he did everything right, making sure he would come home to the family.  He loved going to flea markets and hobby shops, looking for anything that had to do with Lionel trains.  He loved golfing, gambling, and spending time with his family.  When he was younger he loved fishing with his parents and going to the Jim Beam clubs.  He was a jack-of-all-trades; anything you needed done he could do.  He learned that from his father.  He cared a great deal for his semi, and it showed, by the way he took care of it.  He is going to be deeply missed by all of us.  Until we meet again, he will keep trucking in heaven.

Survivors include his wife, Sherri; daughters, Nicole (Bill) Sanders of Morrison, IL, and Tori Montgomery of Rock Falls; sons, Dustin (Jade) Simester of Morrison and Brandon Simester (Mercedes Burger) of Sterling; father, Paul Simester; eight grandchildren, Autumn, Aubrianna, Sydnee, Addisyn, Addilynn, Alex, Ayden, and Ariyah.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

A Gathering of friends and family will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., at the Rock Falls Eagles Club.
