Gregory “Greg” E. Hicks, 60, went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 19, 2024. He passed at his home.
Greg was born October 26, 1963, in Sterling, IL, to Kelly and Lois (Davis) Hicks. Greg very much enjoyed his family and friends. Greg was also an avid sports fan. He enjoyed both playing and watching sports. His favorite professional teams to watch were the Chicago Cubs and the Green Bay Packers.
Greg is survived by his sons, Lukus Hicks and Login Hicks both of Lanark, IL; sisters, Sharon Hicks of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Tracy Hicks of Morrison IL; many nephews and nieces, known to them as “Uncle G.” Greg also leaves behind longtime friend, Rick “Pike” Peikert of Rock Falls, IL.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sandy Hicks and Joan Smith; brother, Kelly “Russ” Hicks.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling, IL.
