The Morrison Fillies opened the the home schedule of the 2014-15 season with the grounding of the Lady Missiles from Milledgeville, IL, 46-27.  The opening quarter saw the Fillies run off ten straight points.  Lakin Goodman scored five, Emma Melton, three, and Ashley Greul, two, before a timeout stopped the action, allowing the Missiles to regroup.

Regroup they did.  After the time out, the Missiles ran off ten straight points in retaliation to tie the score at 10-10.  At the 3:55 mark, Coach Whitebread called a timeout, to settle his Fillies and try to retake control of the action.  The Fillies ended the quarter with an 8-0 run, with Emma Sitzmore hooping four of the eight, to take a first quarter lead of 18-10.

Second quarter action became more controlled, and the Fillies extended their lead at halftime by a 25-14 margin.

The second half started with the Fillies implementing a half-court pressure defense that rattled the Lady Missiles, who turned the ball over 11 times, as Morrison extended the advantage to 37-19. 

The Missiles were unable to cut into the Filly lead, and the final score was recorded as a win for Morrison 46-27.
