Owner Kristina Cortes and partner Miguel Velasco describe their take-and-go business as “Your Local Healthy Hangout.” Located at 205 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, “Royalty Healthy Shakes, Xtreme Teas, and Coffees,” offers protein shakes, energy teas, and coffees, iced and hot.

Sizes are 16, 24, and 32 ounces. To-go packets of her mixes are for sale in zip baggies, for the 24- and 32-ounce sizes.

They opened Monday, September 25, 2023, with “pop-up hours [occurring] once a week with extra-long hours.” On Wednesday, October 11, Cortes commented, “Today, I got new clients, because I stayed open later. I made a tea drink, and” let them know about our business.

Cortes uses Herbal Life products, and they are noncaffeinated and made with water. Royalty is her brand name. Order a gluten-free shake; a coffee can serve as a meal replacement. Teas and shakes can be enhanced with healthy add-ons: Greens, Probiotic, Focus, Boba, or Fat Reducer. There are Shakes and Hydro Blast drinks suitable for children, too. She mentioned possible dessert offerings–protein doughnuts and pudding parfaits.

Cortes and Velasco have two children: nine-year-old fourth grader, Jace Velasco and three-year-old Xavier. The parents were photographed Wednesday, October 11, close to the Mexican celebration, “Day of the Dead.” Deceased family members are remembered and celebrated. Cortes created colorful skulls for the festive decor theme.

Kristina has lived in Morrison always; she went to Nutrition Clubs in Clinton, IA. Her sister is Myra Huizenga, owner of Hair Headquarters salon.
