Centennial Park in Rock Falls, IL, 508 E. 11th Street, will shine brightly for the 4th consecutive holiday season, as visitors enjoy festive light displays, put together by local businesses, churches, schools, and organizations. The Holiday Light Display has grown this year, with seven more displays throughout the park.

The event will run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., from Friday, November 24, through Saturday, December 23, 2023.

Admission is free, and donations are welcome.

Enjoy horse-drawn, wagon rides through the park on Saturday, November 25. They will be provided by the Northern Star Farm of Popular Grove, IL, and sponsored by Candlelight Inn. Rides will be available from 5:30 to 8:30, with the last ride at approximately 8:15. This activity is a first come-first served basis.

No vehicles will be allowed to drive through the park on this date. Visitors must park on the side streets and walk to the Little Schoolhouse parking lot for the horse-drawn wagon rides. The Salvation Army of Sterling/Rock Falls, IL, will serve hot chocolate for a free-will donation.

On Saturday, December 2, donations of canned food will be collected at the entrance and donated to the Sauk Valley Food Bank.

On Friday, December 8, bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys For Tots of Whiteside County.
