Jeg Weets, son of Jenna and Brad Weets of Morrison, IL, was given a send-off on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, as he departed school, in preparation for his surgery on Wednesday, November 15. Jeg suffers from the impact of Nieman Pick Disease Type C (NPC) and will undergo a 6-8 hour surgery. The recovery period could prevent him from returning to school until January 2024.
Students from Southside Elementary, Morrison Junior High, and Morrison High School formed lines along his departure trail, to give him support for a successful surgery and the healing task ahead of him.
