Chris Shetler “Ludachris,” 44, of Morrison, IL, died Friday July 28, 2023, at his home.
Chris was born September 13, 1978, in Morrison, to Dave and Sandy (Bardell) Shetler. He was educated in the Milledgeville, IL, and Morrison grade schools and Morrison Junior High and Morrison High School. Chris worked in the auto parts industry for his whole life and became owner of Morrison Auto Supply in 2017. He loved anything with a motor and enjoyed riding Harleys and dirt bikes. He liked drag racing, snowboarding, skateboarding, and BMX. Chris also coached youth Football for several years. He was an avid Raiders fan.
Survivors include his daughter, Kaylee Shetler of Morrison; sons, Isaak Shetler of Clinton, IA, and Kody Shetler of Morrison; parents, Dave and Sandy Shetler of Rock Falls, IL; sister, Emily (Nick) Wilkens of Osco, IL; maternal grandfather, Raymond Bardell of Milledgeville; dogs, Nova and Chopper.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Josephine Bardell; paternal grandparents, Vernon L. Shetler and Alice Shetler.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the Visitation.
Interment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
