The Loft on Main opened its doors early for two hours, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m., to those who enjoy home baked goods, beverages, and communal conversation. This time is perfect for relaxing with family or friends. An extra special attendee entered the gallery, 112 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Sherri Pannier, of Ottawa, IL, escorted her father, Loft woodworker and former Morrison Mayor Everett Pannier, to the gathering. This was the first time he attended Third Thursdays, since a devastating vehicle accident on Sunday, March 27. Those in the photo below were delighted to see him!

Pannier “got back to Morrison [from the hospital] in May.” He added, “And, I’m glad to be out [of the house].” He uses a wheel chair and walker, as he strengthens his body towards walking unaided. Pannier’s treatment includes “physical and occupational therapy with Mona, at Morrison Community Hospital;” wound therapy is part of his treatment journey, too.

Seated left-to-right around the table are Sherri and Everett Pannier; Karla Burn; Dave Boyles; Sharon Boyles; Martha Kophamer. Those who arrived after the shot was taken include Marcia Haag, Joan Vander Bleek, and Mark Zinnen. Burn displays a photo book of Tiny Art paintings from Odell Public Library’s event.
