Rick M. Beswick, 53, of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, IA, as the result of a motorcycle accident.
Rick was born April 17, 1961, in Clinton, IA, to Thomas and Jane (Hetz) Beswick. He was educated in the Fulton grade schools and was a 1980 graduate of Fulton High School. He then graduated from Wyoming Technical School in Laramie, WY, with a degree in automotive mechanics. He married Bobbie Manley in 1989, in Fulton. Rick was employed at Schuler Motors in Morrison, IL, for 25 years. He was an ASE Certified Master Technician. He enjoyed the outdoors and riding motorcycles. Rick cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren, and family.
Survivors include his mother, Jane Darby of Morrison; two daughters, Brandy L. (Doug Alcala) Manley of Fulton and Jessy Beswick of Morrison; one son, Dustin Beswick of Fulton; four grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, and Deven Alcala and Angelena Beswick; two sisters, Sally (Dave DeCock) Beswick of Clinton and Lori (Peter) Vanderlaan of St. Charles, IL; one brother, Terry Beswick of Fulton; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Vicky Whitten; many aunts and uncles including his special uncle, Mike (Char) Hetz.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; and one brother, Tony T. Beswick.
