Morrison Invitational The Morrison Mustangs enjoyed a beautiful spring basbell-type day with two tune-up wins in their own invitational at the Morrison Sports Complex on Saturday. Morrison vs West Carroll The young arms of Ben Tegeler and Brock Smith combined to subdue the West Carroll Thunder by scattering seven hits and allowing the offense score 16 runs to end the game in five innings with the Mustangs on top 16-2. Tegeler allowed 3 hits in three innings and Smith gave up 4 but held the Thunder to one earned run to combine for the win. The Mustang offense was headed by Kollin Burn (3/3 with a double), Joey Brackemyer (2 doubles), Justin Jensen(1-double &1-triple = 4 RBI), bill Lee Greul (3-RBI) and Mason Sitamore (2-RBI) Morrison 3 – 3 – 3 – 7 -0 = 16 / 12 / 2 West Carroll 1 – 1 – 0 – 0 – 0 = 2 / 7 / 1 Morrison vs Winnebago The Mustangs needed three unearned runs to top Winnebago in game two of the Morrison Invitational 8-5. Kollin Burn (1), Andy Bird (2) and Bill Lee Greul (2) combined for all the earned runs as Mason Sitzmore and Ryan VanZuiden kept the Winnebago Indians at bay for the win.
