GlindaandduoHere is a memorable Mother’s Day gift for your loved one.  Bring Mom, Grandma, and their children and grandchildren to meet The Great and Powerful Oz!  He is the one on the left, shown with Glinda-the-Good-Witch and the Emerald City Guard.

Morrison High School will present the iconic musical “The Wizard of Oz” on Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. and during a Sunday matinee, May 11, at 2:00 p.m.  All three performances take place in the MHS auditorium, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL.

Tickets are $5.  Purchase in advance at Fitzgerald Pharmacy, 124 E. Main Street, in Morrison, or at the door.

The stage version is very similar to the well-known movie musical and will delight all ages.  Hum along as you set “off to see the Wizard” with Dorothy, Toto, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and Scarecrow.

Auntie Em and Uncle Henry, shown below, will be waiting for Dorothy and the audience to return to Kansas.

As a treat for good behavior during the play’s run, spunky Toto may be adopted to a loving home.

Jack, who plays Toto in the production, is up for adoption.  He is a rescue dog who deserves a better life than storm-tossed Kansas offers.  By the end of the show on Sunday, April 11, 2014, the Bob Stone family hopes to find Toto/Jack a real-life family of his own.

Bob Stone would like to ask people who attend the musical to bring a donation of dog or cat food.  All donations will go to Happy Tails in Rock Falls, IL.
