In advance of the Tuesday, November 3, 2020, General Election, 38,436 registered Whiteside County, IL, voters received a Vote by Mail Application prior to Saturday, August 1. Around Thursday, October 1, County Clerk Dana Nelson mailed Vote by Mail Ballots to all voters who submitted an application. October voting began in Whiteside County the day citizens received ballots and returned them to the County Clerk’s office: via mail; in person; by depositing them in the first-ever drop box, at the entrance to the Whiteside County Courthouse, in Morrison, IL.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT: It calls for removing a phrase from Article IX, Section 3, of the Illinois Constitution that reads, “a tax on or measured by income shall be at a non-graduated rate,” and replacing it with, “The General Assembly shall provide by law for the rate or rates of any tax on or measured by income imposed by the State.”
