Gayle Maxine Roth, 87, of Lenexa, KS, died Thursday, March 14, 2019, surrounded by her family, at Lakeview Village Care Center, in Lenexa.

Gayle was born September 24, 1931, in Denver, CO, to Carl Granberg and Maxine Walgren Granberg.  She moved to Kansas City, KS, in the late 1940’s and graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1949.  She attended Kansas City, KS, Junior College for two years and then University of Kansas, where she graduated in 1953 with a degree in Education.  There she resided at the Watkins Scholarship Hall, where residents were selected on the basis of scholarship, character, and financial need.  In 1953 she married Ronald Roth; together they had two children.  Gayle was a long-time member of Village Presbyterian Church, in Prairie Village, KS.

In 1960 Ron and Gayle moved to 502 Meadow Lane, Morrison, IL.  There they raised their two children and were members of First Presbyterian Church, where Gayle taught Sunday School.  They moved from Morrison in 1972.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; daughter, Shirley Busche (Jeff); grandchildren, Alex and Max; great-granddaughter, Layla; son Brad (Shirley); granddaughters Stephanie and Katherine; sister, Christina Knopp; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
