MammaMia

All her life, 20-year-old Sophie, played by Amanda Seyfried, has lived with her single mom, Donna, played by Meryl Streep, in their little hotel on a Greek island.  She has secretly longed to find the father she has never known and the man her mother refuses to discuss.

After discovering her mom’s diary, Sophie finds clues that point to three men who could be her father.  She is getting married and has dreamed about her father walking her down the aisle.  So, she invites all three men to the wedding without her mother’s knowledge.  In her innocence, Sophie is certain she will know which man is “Dad.”

Donna has also invited several friends to the wedding festivities:  her two, lifelong, friends, Tanya and Rosie, who were in a band with Donna long ago.  Old romance is rekindled, and both chaos and musical fun ensues.

Let’s start 2019 with a fun film!   “Mamma Mia!” is high-spirited, with tunes that will keep you humming for days.  See you at the movies.
