Petition circulation begins Tuesday, September 20, 2016, for candidates wishing to take out petitions for the upcoming Consolidated Election, to be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017.
Petitions will be available at the City Clerk’s office, 200 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Please note: the City Clerk will be out of the office from Thursday, September 29, through Monday, October 3, and Monday, October 10, through Friday, October 14, 2016. No petitions will be handed out during this time.
Openings are for the following City of Morrison offices:
- Mayor
- City Clerk
- Ward 1 Alderman
- Ward 1 Alderman (two-year unexpired term)
- Ward 2 Alderman
- Ward 2 Alderman (two-year unexpired term)
- Ward 3 Alderman
- Ward 4 Alderman
- Ward 4 (two-year unexpired term.)
